A little about Captain Bob...

 

I am fortunate enough to say that I am that guy that has taken a dream and put it into action in my life long home of Northern Michigan. I am the proud owner/operator of Central Coast Angling. Being a native to Northern Michigan my entire life has given me the opportunity to pursue many different fish species in many parts of this great state. Often on days off the water I can be found exploring parts of Northern Michigan with my wife Michelle, our 3 daughters Kinsley, Kadence and Kennedy, our english bulldog Maude and our dachshund Ollie. Hiking, beach lounging, swimming or boating are our favorite ways to pass time. One might say we are a rather adventurous family, with a passion for fishing in the mix.

I am proud to call Traverse City my home and its diversity of not only fishing opportunities but culture has allowed me to firmly plant roots here. Possibilities are endless when its comes to stretching a line in Traverse City but most often I can be found on Grand Traverse Bay or Lake Michigan. I have fished the area consistently for over 30 years now. My passion for lake fishing started as a very young man and has only grown. I enjoy sneaking away to a local trout stream from time to time also. Walleye, Lake Trout, Small Mouth Bass, Perch, Herring and Salmon round up my preferred target species. 

 

My goal at Central Coast Angling is to be a professional instructor to my clientele, while providing the knowledge and quality gear needed to be successful on our beautiful Michigan lakes and rivers.
